Want to go to Diva School, darlings? I’m teaching fairly regularly at Lotus Blooms these days! Join the Lotus Blooms mailing list to get first look at all the fantastic Sunday evening workshops we offer. This one’s rescheduled, so it’s a late-night delight– come to King Street early for dinner and drinks, and then come see me for dessert!
A glow of pale lavender, the crackle of electromagnetic energy, a tingle, a tickle, a buzz like you have never known. If you’ve been intrigued by the idea of erotic electric play or fascinated by the mad-scientist appeal of the violet wand, but haven’t had an opportunity to try it out, this workshop is for you!
From its medicine-show debut as a cure-all medical device in the late 1800’s, this fascinating and unusual toy was eventually adopted by the kink community for its delightfully unique turn on sensory play. It can seem intimidating, but you’ll learn that the violet wand is fairly easy to learn and opens up many creative and devious possibilities.
Lotus Blooms educator Diva Darling will take you on a brief trip through its quirky history, including showing you an actual working antique wand. The workshop will also cover:
- How to set up and use your violet wand and its attachments
- How to use your own and/or your partner’s bodies to conduct electric kisses and caresses
- What other toys pair especially well with violet wand play– and which to avoid!
- Ideas for intensifying or getting creative with your wand play
- Cleaning and caring for your kit
A violet wand is an investment, so you’ll also get the chance to experience a little taste of this wand’s magic and decide if you like it enough to own one. See if you can resist the temptation to let loose a maniacal laugh and declare, “My libido– IT IS ALIVE!”

Workshops generally run about 90 minutes with a 5 minute break in the middle. Afterwards, the store is open for individual questions and private shopping for about half an hour.
